To explain what is happening in TFT terms: This is a PVE game mode similar to Ao Shin's Ascend. You start by taking a Hero Augment and then build your team from creatures you've collected in the open World. You also have three Character Cards (bottom left) that all have a passive, an active Ability (that's the part when the Animation plays) and a synergy with one specific Anima.
