71] Bow down your ear, O Lord, and hear me, for I am needy and afflicted. [2] Keep my soul, for I am holy, O my God; save your servant who trusts in you. [3] Be merciful to me, O Lord, for I cry to you all day long. [4] Rejoice the soul of your servant, for to you, O Lord, I lift up my soul. [5] For you, O Lord, are good and ready to forgive, and abundant in lovingkindness to all who call on you. [6] Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer, and attend to the voice of my supplications. [7] In the day of my trouble I will cry to you, for you will answer me. [8] Among the gods there is none like you, O Lord, nor are there any works like yours. [9] All the nations you made will come and worship before you, O Lord, and glorify your name. [10] For you are great and do wondrous things; you alone are God. [11] Teach me your way, O Lord, and I will walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear your name. [12] I will praise you, O Lord my God, with all my heart, and I will glorify your name forever. [13] For great is your mercy toward me; you have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol. [14] O God, the proud have risen against me, and the assemblies of the ruthless have sought my life; they have not set you before their eyes. [15] But you, O Lord, are a God full of compassion and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth. [16] Turn to me and be gracious to me; give your strength to your servant, and save the son of your handmaid. [17] Show me a sign for good, so that those who hate me may see it and be put to shame, when you, Lord, help and comfort me. [16] I never cease to give thanks to God for you, remembering you in my prayers, [17] that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, [18] having the eyes of your understanding enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, [19] and what is the surpassing greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, [20] which he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, [21] far above all rule and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, and not only both in this age and in the age to come. [22] And he put all things under his feet and gave him to be head over all things to the church, [23] which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all. [14] For this reason I bow my knees before the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, [15] from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, [16] that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with power by his Spirit in the inner man; [17] that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, [18] may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, [19] and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. [20] Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to the power that works within us, [21] to him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. [3] We give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, always praying for you, [4] because we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all the saints; [5] because of the hope laid up for you in heaven, which you heard about before through the word of the truth of the gospel, [6] which has already come to you, just as it has in all the world, and is already bearing fruit, just as it has among you since the day you heard and truly knew the grace of God. [9] For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, have not ceased to pray for you, and to desire that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; [10] that you may walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; [11] strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, in all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; [12] giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light; [13] who has delivered us from the power of darkness, and has translated us into the kingdom of his beloved Son; [15] who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; [16] For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: [17] And he is before all things, and in him all things consist: [18] And he is the head of the body, the church. ..
