Nzau Kalulu: Sundowner 'King' Dies

Many will remember his mellow commentaries escorting soothing ballads in the KBC English radio music program, sundowner, in the 90s. Few then knew that at the tender age of 13, Joseph Nzau Kalulu had been diagnosed with diabetes. But for 31 years, the son of former Mbooni mp Fred Kalulu, who later moved to Royal Media Services as head of the Kamba station, Musyi fm, refused to let his health tribulations dampen his passion for theater and radio. Nzau who passed away at the intensive care unit in Nairobi hospital on Monday, lives on with his golden voice a cherished memory in the ears of his legion of fans.
