Demo of Vivado 2026.1 Changes

In this livestream, I will demo some of the changes in AMD Vivado 2026.1, with a focus on the new licensing flow and what the Basic license tier actually feels like in practice. This is not meant to be a formal review. The plan is to walk through the process hands-on, try the new license setup, and see what happens when working with the Vivado 2026.1 Basic license. I want to better understand how the new Basic tier compares to the previous free Vivado license, especially from the perspective of normal FPGA bring-up, simulation, IP work, and debug. Some of the topics I want to explore or discuss: AMD account requirements for some Vivado access Annual license renewal One unique license per seat Basic, Core, and Pro license tiers Limited xsim support in Basic, including the 50K instance maximum Limited ILA debug support in Basic For this stream, I plan to mostly demo Basic features and see where the limits show up naturally. The goal is to understand the practical impact of the new licensing process and feature changes. Vivado 2026.1 Download: https://www.amd.com/en/support/downlo...
