The Ministry of Justice and Public Security has decided not to include the STF (Supreme Federal Court) among the bodies that must return delegates assigned to the Federal Police. The exception is temporary and, according to members of the Lula (PT) government, aims to avoid hindering ongoing investigations. The Ministry of Justice had been coordinating the return of Federal Police officers since April. The move was interpreted by members of the Federal Police and the STF as retaliation against Minister André Mendonça, responsible for the investigations into the INSS and Banco Master cases.
