OKKO FX Holy Grit - Overdrive Fuzz Preamp

https://okkofx.company.site/ The Okko FX Holy Grit is a versatile preamp that allows everything from subtle grit to vintage singing fuzz and even collapsing tube amp saturation. Spring-boarding off the classic silicon transistor Fuzz Face and Tone Benders of the past, the Holy Grit offers much more control of the gain range and frequencies at either end of circuit. The pre-gain bass is helpful to reduce bloated fuzz tones or neck pickup mud or it can encourage extra compression and fatness with low output pickups. A post-gain treble is there to fine tune the overall warmth but there’s plenty more to help shape the texture thanks to a 3-way Bias switch. Up is the highest headroom which helps clean up the overall sound and minimize compression while the middle setting goes in the opposite direction with starved, velcro-like fuzztones. The Downward setting gives you a sweet spot that can add some fuzzy texture to an overdriven tone or give heavier distortion a bit more headroom and tightness. Unlike many fuzzes, the Holy Grit has a clever switchable buffer to overcome pedal placement issues, which also adds a bit of sparkle to the whole sound.
