George Mason University Indoor Drumline | 2026 WGI World Championships – Semifinals | Dayton, OH The George Mason University Indoor Drumline (GMUID) takes the floor at the 2026 WGI World Championships Semifinals in Dayton, Ohio! Representing Fairfax, Virginia and the Washington, D.C. metro area, GMUID is one of the most decorated independent percussion ensembles on the East Coast — and the only WGI Percussion Independent World Class competitor in the state of Virginia. Founded in 2007, GMUID has built a legacy of excellence — winning the WGI PIO World Championship in 2012, advancing to World Class finals consistently, and in 2025 finishing 6th in PIW with a personal record score of 94.863 while earning the World Class “Fan Favorite” title.  Under the direction of Travis Peterman, the Patriots continue their incredible streak of World Class finals appearances.
