1. The Opening: A Broken Crew The story begins on Coruscant. Cal Kestis is now working with Saw Gerrera’s rebel cell. The old crew from the Mantis (Cere, Merrin, and Greez) has split up, weary of the endless fighting. After a high-stakes heist on Coruscant goes wrong, Cal escapes, but his entire new crew is killed, and the Mantis is badly damaged. Cal flees to the remote frontier planet of *Koboh* to find his old friend **Greez Dritus**, who now runs a saloon, to help repair the ship. 2. The Ancient Discovery: Tanalorr While exploring a collapsed Jedi chamber beneath Koboh to find a replacement part for his ship, Cal discovers a centuries-old High Republic droid named **ZEE**. Through Zee’s memories, Cal learns of an ancient secrets-laden world hidden behind a lethal space anomaly (the Koboh Abyss) called **Tanalorr**. Centuries ago, a High Republic Jedi named *Dagan Gera* discovered Tanalorr and wanted to build a Jedi training temple there. However, the world was attacked by a marauding faction called the Nihil. The Jedi Council ordered Tanalorr to be abandoned and the navigation compasses destroyed. Enraged by what he saw as a betrayal of his dream, Dagan turned on the Jedi, was defeated, and was placed in a bacta-tank suspension chamber by his closest friend, **Santari Khri**. 3. The Betrayal of Dagan Gera Cal finds Dagan Gera’s stasis chamber and awakens him, hoping to find a legendary High Republic Jedi ally to help fight the Empire. Instead, Dagan wakes up consumed by centuries of resentment. He immediately bleeds his kyber crystal, turning his lightsaber blade red, and embraces the Dark Side. He escapes with the help of **Rayvis**, the leader of a local mercenary faction called the Bedlam Raiders (who owes Dagan a centuries-old life debt). Dagan's goal is to find a surviving Abyss Compass to reach Tanalorr and build an army to destroy the Empire and rule the galaxy himself. 4. Reassembling the Family Realizing the threat, Cal seeks out his old crew. He travels to Jedha, a desert moon where *Cere Junda* and *Merrin* are working with the Hidden Path—an underground network smuggling Force-sensitive individuals and Jedi survivors away from the Empire. Cal and Merrin rekindle their deep connection, eventually falling in love. 5. The Climax on Koboh After battling through Rayvis and uncovering Santari Khri’s old research lab, Cal tracks Dagan Gera to a massive High Republic observatory on Koboh. Supported by **Bode Akuna**—a rogue mercenary and single father who became Cal’s close friend and brother-in-arms early in the game 6. The Ultimate Twist The crew gathers at Cere’s base on Jedha, ecstatic that they finally have the compass to escape to Tanalorr. But just as they prepare to leave, **Bode Akuna betrays the group**. He steals the compass, shoots Master Eno Cordova in cold blood, and alerts the Galactic Empire to the Hidden Path’s secret base. As the Empire launches a massive assault on the base, Cere Junda stays behind to secure the Hidden Path archives. Darth Vader arrives personally to crush the resistance. Cere fights valiantly and nearly defeats the Sith Lord, but **Vader ultimately kills Cere**. Cal arrives just in time to hold her body as she dies. --- 7. The Dark Truth and The Final Confrontation Devastated and furious, Cal tracks Bode’s tracking beacon to an Imperial listening post. There, Cal learns the heartbreaking truth: *Bode was a former Jedi* who survived the Purge. To protect his young daughter, Kata, after his wife was murdered by the Inquisitors, Bode struck a deal with the Imperial Intelligence chief (Commander Lank Denvik) to act as an undercover spy. Bode used Cal to eliminate Dagan Gera so he could steal Tanalorr solely to hide himself and his daughter forever. Cal tracks Bode to Tanalorr using an alternative method discovered in the archives. Deep within the beautiful, isolated world, Cal and Merrin confront Bode. Cal desperately tries to reason with him for the sake of his daughter, Kata. However, consumed by fear and paranoia, Bode refuses to back down and attacks them, utilizing his hidden Force powers. During the frantic battle, Cal nearly loses himself to the Dark Side, tapping into raw fury to overwhelm his former friend. When Bode refuses a final chance to surrender and threatens Merrin and Kata, **Cal shoots and kills Bode**. --- 8. The Ending: A New Path The game ends on a somber note. Cal, Merrin, and young Kata hold a Jedi funeral, burning the bodies of Cere, Cordova, and Bode. Cal inherits the burdens of leadership and the trauma of losing his mentors. He realizes he must stay anchored to the Light Side while raising Kata alongside Merrin. Together, they decide to use Tanalorr exactly as Cere envisioned: a sanctuary to rebuild a new home for the Hidden Path, sheltering the survivors of the Empire's tyranny.
