Apocalyptica Interview Part 2

Apocalyptica, a cello metal band from Finland, combines classical music with metal played on cellos! Starting out in 1993, playing only Metallica covers, the classically trained cellists never expected to sell a million copies of their first album, adding their own original spin to the cover songs. Known for their collaborations with other musicians, Apocalyptica has recorded songs with some of the most well-known names in metal and rock music, including Till Lindemann of Rammstein, Dave Lombardo of Slayer, Corey Taylor of Slipknot / Stone Sour, and most recently, Adam Gontier of Three Days Grace. On the Canadian part of their world tour, mindyourmind.ca caught up with Eicca and Paavo and touched on several topics with them, including their unequalled musical talent; seasonal affective disorder in Northern parts of the world, where its completely dark for half the year; and the school shooting in Finland that took place that day.
