The second part of our weekend trip to Rome! 🇮🇹 We start in the Vatican and our mission: to wave the Polish flag to our parents in St. Peter's Square in the Vatican. By complete coincidence, we arrive on Sunday at exactly 12:00 PM... and it's the Angelus, and we see the new pope! 😱 We seriously hadn't planned on this, so the shock and excitement were immense. Later, we descended into St. Peter's Basilica—we saw the tomb of John Paul II, and the dome and interior were absolutely breathtaking. Then we searched for delicious food (we weren't always lucky 😂), strolled through Rome and across beautiful bridges, and finally stumbled upon the best tiramisu in Rome (Two Sizes) and a viral pizzeria with the thinnest crust I've ever eaten—WOW! And the best part turned out to be... panna cotta 😍 After a day full of excitement, I take an Uber back to my accommodation and do a quick recap of the trip... with a broken foot. Finally, our last (half) day: breakfast by the Colosseum and Venchi ice cream at the airport. That was our weekend in Rome!
