LET L-410NG at ILA Berlin Air Show 2016

I guess the Czech-built L-410 is not amongst the best known aircraft in the world and yet it is a match for aviation legends like the DHC-6 "Twin Otter"! For me personally this little turboprop-driven plane is special, because one of the first plastic model kits I assembled as a child was an L-410, playing it's role in me becoming an aviation enthusiast. Developed in the late 1960s the L-410 quickly became the workhorse for short-haul flights all over the Eastern Bloc, which meant it had to be able to operate under rough conditions in order to be serviceable all over the giant Soviet Union as well as in Africa and South America. In 2010, development of an improved version called L-410NG began and that's what you see in the video shown at ILA Berlin Air Show 2016.
