Along the way, we enjoy a delicious lunch at the famous Arun Mess in Aliyar, pass through the forest check post, and begin the breathtaking climb through Valparai's winding mountain roads, lush tea estates, waterfalls, and the stunning Western Ghats. We stay at the peaceful Bison Valley Homestay near the Kerala border and spend our days exploring misty mornings, cloud-filled landscapes, tea plantations, hidden roads, off-road trails, Sholayar Dam, and the serene beauty that makes Valparai one of Tamil Nadu's most loved hill destinations. One of the most unforgettable moments of our trip happened late at night when a massive wild tusker elephant entered our homestay premises. Watching this majestic animal from a close distance was both thrilling and humbling. Thankfully, it peacefully returned to the forest without causing any damage. The adventure concludes with a nearly 600-kilometre drive back to Chennai, taking around 14 hours.
