How to test an Engine coolant temperature sensor on a Honda TRX500 #1258 #honda #diagnostics #atv

Working our way through testing all of the Sensors & actuators on this Honda TRX500, in this video we take a look at the Engine coolant temperature sensor & associated wiring. Testing the sensor's resistance & load testing the ground side of the circuit & the signal wire up to the ECU using a multimeter & testlight. We also capture the volatage signal using the PicoScope so you can 'see' the actual signal been recieved by the ECU. This testing is generic to the vast majority of Japanese ATVs & Side by Sides so I'm sure the testing proceedure will be of great help to many viewers in future years.
