How to Escape a Tight North South in BJJ (2 BJJ Effective Options)

The North South position in BJJ can be tough to escape. If you think of Guard as having our hips in front of our opponent. North South is literally the opposite. They're about as far away from the hips as they can be without getting up and running away. This in turn can make it difficult to regain a decent position from the bottom. This is why it can be such an awesome position for Guard Passers against long legged grapplers. Circle towards the head and get to North South and you're further away from those legs!
