Amira interviewed by regional news broadcasting corporation Omroep Gelderland

Amira, the 13 year old Dutch opera singer, will move to South Africa. In six months time the young international superstar will leave The Netherlands for her (now) second home in Africa. In an Omroep Gelderland interview last Friday Amira discussed moving abroad, her future career and many things more. During the interview Amira told she's excited about moving to South Africa, a country she feels very connected with due to her voluntary work. Also, her mother was born in the sun-drenched country. Although she will be reunited with her family still living in South Africa, of course Amira will miss the friends she leaves behind, besides typical Dutch things such as the scenery, biking lanes and castles. On a more positive note, South Africa offers loads of opportunities for the young talent and above all: it brings her more quietness and peace of mind. No constant rushing from school to hockey practice and singing classes. Something Amira is really looking forward to. Amira's new home will be close to the playgrounds she builds with her charity Gelukskinders.
