I've provided a detailed explanation of how to prevent underwater mask fogging. I've struggled with anti-fog for ages, but I've finally figured it out, so I'd like to share my findings with you. If you'd like to see just the key points, please skip to 11'10". White & White contains abrasives, while melamine sponge is made by foaming a hard resin called melamine resin to the micron level. Melamine sponges are said to be around #3000 (5 microns) in grit size. In the video, they are used to scrape off stuck silicone, but as you can see, the rubber surface loses its luster after rubbing. I believe the melamine sponge packaging also has a warning not to use on coated surfaces. I wish I could have explained this in the video, but please note that it should not be used on masks that have been treated with an anti-fog coating.
