The Algorithm of War (empiresimulator.io)

The new and improved version of https://www.empiresimulator.io, featuring much better performance and more strategic control over expansion and infrastructure. The game is free to play at https://www.empiresimulator.io and should work in mobile browsers as well. If you want to support the project, subscribe to the channel, and if you want to, leave a tip at https://ko-fi.com/sundellviz. Nothing is expected but everything is appreciated! As always this took way longer to get right than I expected. But I hope you'll like it now that it's done! Let me know in the comments what you think and what I should do next. The next step I have planned myself will be the hardest yet... All code in the simulation is vibecoded. I also vibecode the illustrations I use in the video - they are javascript animations running in the browser. I am a political scientist, not a programmer, so I use the help I can get to explore ideas I would not have been able to do otherwise. I write the scripts myself and the voiceover is my real voice. I don't use any AI images. 00:00 Introduction 00:25 The Algorithm of War 03:12 Strategic Control 04:45 Performance 05:03 Simulating the Art of War 06:47 The Way Forward Previous videos in the series: Part 0:    • Creating an Interactive Empire Simulation ...   Part 1:    • This Map Draws Its Own Borders (Empire Sim...   Part 2:    • Why Russia Always Wins My Empire Sim (Empi...   Part 3:    • Do Trade Routes Shape Borders? (Empire Sim...   Part 4:    • Beaten at My Own Empire Game (empiresimula...   Music: Take me - Peachwood (www.epidemicsound.com) Vapor - Ben Elson (www.epidemicsound.com) Domino - Peachwood (www.epidemicsound.com) Himalayan Skies - Trailer Worx (www.epidemicsound.com)
