Jia Zhang-Ke 贾樟柯 | Contemporary Chinese Cinema [4K Edit]
I recently watched the entire filmography of this one-of-a-kind voice in the world of cinema and felt I had to make to this video because there is not enough appreciation for him (especially in good video quality), and many don't even know of his existence at all. This is a celebration of just a small sample of his work, capturing China both Past and Present, Rural and Urban. Scenes used are from: STILL LIFE (2006), A TOUCH OF SIN (2013), MOUNTAINS MAY DEPART (2015) and ASH IS PUREST WHITE (2018). Track Used: "Qian Zui Yi Sheng" by Sally Yeh. As featured in ASH IS PUREST WHITE.
