More than one million young people in UK not in work or education | BBC News
The number of 16 to 24-year-olds in the UK not in employment, education or training - known as Neets - has risen above one million. The number stands at its highest level in 12 years and is driven by more young people no longer looking for work, the Office for National Statistics said. It's an increase from the 957,000 figure that was recorded in the period from October to December 2025.
