The Nintendo DS had two cartridge slots: SLOT-1 for DS games (located at the top of the system) , and SLOT-2 for GBA cartridges (located at the bottom of the system). Having the ability to play two generations of handheld games on one system is a wonderful feature. However, some developers took it a step further by incorporating the DUAL SLOT linking features. Meaning, certain DS games could communicate with compatible GBA cartridges if both were inserted into their corresponding slot. In addition to dubbing this the DUAL SLOT MODE, sometimes developers called it activating MODE B (or Mode-B). Although it was mostly used to transfer Pokemon between generations, there were about 30 games that supported this feature, some exclusive to Japan. This video features all of them*. Connecting each GBA cart rewards the player with Mojo points when the DS game is loaded.
