BNDES mostra quantos motoristas receberam crédito no Move Brasil

The Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) released an official report on the Move Brasil program, and the numbers allow for a more objective analysis of the program's true reach. According to the data released, Move Brasil has reached R$ 1 billion in completed financing, benefiting 9,908 professionals in 1,015 municipalities. The average loan amount was around R$ 102,000 per vehicle. However, the contrast with the initial promise is striking. The program was announced with a potential of up to R$ 30 billion. In other words, the amount disbursed so far represents about 3.3% of the total announced. Another important piece of data: more than 600,000 drivers expressed interest in the program, but fewer than 10,000 have been included so far. This represents approximately 1.6% of those interested. In this video, I analyze the numbers from the BNDES report, the gap between the government's announcement and the actual results delivered so far, the deadline of the Provisional Measure, and the uncertainty surrounding a possible second phase of the program. The Move Brasil program exists and has already started financing vehicles. But the numbers show that it's still far from meeting the expectations created among ride-hailing drivers and taxi drivers.
