I’m sailing with my sailboat Maruzza from the Greek island of Zakynthos all the way to Sicily. Right now, I’m exactly in the middle of the southern Ionian Sea. It’s a real marine adventure, with the wind pushing the sails of my solo sailing adventure. The lifestyle of a sailor is truly fantastic and turns a sailing trip into a lifestyle. My navigation instruments are classic and very simple, and the only piece of navigation electronics I have is a portable GPS. My logbook says everything went well until the wind died down completely. This situation fully tests my sailing skills. Indeed, this marine story is getting interesting. In fact, Maruzza gets stuck in the middle of the sea for a couple of days for the lack of wind, and I can’t communicate with my family. It’s a really bad situation because I think they might be worried, so as soon as the wind picks up again, I must adjust the sails on my boat to get Maruzza moving over the waves.
