👉In this video, I show you the Paso del Caballo (Horse Pass) on the VALLIBIERNA & CULEBRAS route so you can prepare for it 📍 From VALLIBIERNA Peak, we find ourselves with an impressive panoramic view of the Maladeta massif. If we want to continue to the neighboring Tuca de las Culebras, we must cross the Paso del Caballo (Horse Pass), which is not very difficult but is not suitable for people with vertigo. This pass consists of a narrow and sharp horizontal ridge about 20 meters long, with a drop on both sides. We can secure the pass with a rope, as there are loopholes for this purpose. On the right side of the ridge, there are some cracks and good holds, especially halfway up the pass. If the holds are not comfortable or you are not confident enough, you can cross "on horseback," that is, supporting yourself by leaving the rock on the ridge between your legs and moving forward as best you can with the help of your hands. It's not difficult, but we recommend that those who aren't confident in tackling it return along the same route as the outward journey.
