Watching the worst offense in MLB finally wake up & win a game (Padres vs. Reds, 6/8/2026) ⚾️

So I went to Petco Park the other day to see the San Diego Padres (temporarily) stop the hemorrhaging of L’s by taking advantage of small ball from the fresh new faces on the roster, rather than relying on an expensive aging core of superstars trying to slug their way out of a season long slump. Even if the Padres don’t make the playoffs this year, I’ll at least be able to remember the full spectrum of emotions on this night, from the angry ranting against the superstars not being able to hit their way out of a paper bag, to the excitement of seeing the newbies carrying the Padres to a comeback lead, & finally the elation of baseball’s best relief crew shutting the door. Shot from section 227 in right field.
