Bell Pepper Rice Recipe - With A Twist of Marinated Chicken and plantains

Ingredients: 1 cup of long-grain jasmine rice (or any rice of your choice) 2 cups of water (for cooking the rice) 1 tablespoon of oil (vegetable or sesame oil) 2 cloves of garlic (minced) 1-2 green onions (chopped, optional) 1-2 tablespoons of soy sauce A pinch of salt (optional) -chicken bell peppers Steps: 1. **Rinse the rice**: Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. This removes excess starch and helps make the rice less sticky. 2. **Cook the rice**: In a pot, add 1 cup of rice and 2 cups of water. Bring it to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the water is absorbed and the rice is tender. Let it sit covered for 5 minutes after cooking, then fluff with a fork. 3. **Prepare the flavoring**: Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large pan or wok over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant (be careful not to burn it). If you’re using green onions, add them next and sauté for another minute. 4. **Mix the rice**: Add the cooked rice to the pan. Stir well to combine it with the garlic and green onions.
