RAP Ferreira Live at 529 in Atlanta 5/30/22

After having to cancel a show a month earlier, this May 30th show was the make up date for Thefamilyorchestra and headliner R.A.P. Ferreira. Like the audience who saw this performance, I was totally stunned to hear Mr Ferreira playing blues slide guitar during his soundcheck earlier that afternoon. Totally unexpected. He explains that he learned to play blues guitar during the lock down, but you'd think he'd been playing for many years. During both his soundcheck and the beginning of his set, I thought I was listening to a young Mississippi John Hurt. The second voice you hear at the beginning of the recording is one of the opening artists selling his shirts at the merch table, near where my camera was set up. I certainly wouldn't complain if Mr Ferreira added more blues songs into his future sets. The audience certainly ate it up as much as I did. #rap #hiphop #blues #hiphopmusic
