The Best FPS You've Never Played - A Tribute To Depth

"you don't really know what it is you have, until it's gone, gone, gone". Normally I'm not one to spill my guts over something especially if it's a video game. But when the game in question is one that I've devoted an unhealthy amount of my life to, has got me through some dark times, and is the reason why I started this channel in the first place, then I think some sentimentality is bound to come into play. This is the story of Depth, a truly unique asymmetrical first person shooter that allowed players to duke it out with each other as a diver or a shark. Depth barely gained any sort of popularity and was unfortunately largely forgotten by everyone besides the small loving fanbase it managed to grow. This fanbase was enough to keep the game afloat until 2022 when it was announced that further development and support on Depth would cease. What remains of Depth now is an empty abandoned husk that was once filled with all sorts of potential.
