He is a member of several bands and projects through which he disseminates music, including PEARL CENTER, Mime and Pistachio Studio. His wide-ranging tracks, featuring elegant, smooth melodies that touch on a variety of genres from 70’s to modern pop, combined in various ways with a groove that can only be created by a drummer, captivate listeners both in Japan and abroad. He launched his solo project around 2013. In 2018, his beats tape KEY MILESTONE released by prestigious Canadian lofi-hip hop label Inner Ocean Records made it into Spotify US’s official playlist, and has been played over 2.5 million times which is rare for an independent Japanese artist. Born 1989, originally from Saitama Prefecture. In 2008, he worked on Studio Ghibli films such as Arrietty and The Wind Rises as an animator. In 2012, he joined Studio Colorido and worked on Penguin Highway as character designer and director, and on Pokémon: Twilight Wings Episode 2 as storyboard artist and director.
