Bupati Gowa Belum Terima Undangan Pansus Hak Angket, Siap Hadir Jika Dipanggil

Gowa Regent Husniah Talenrang admitted that she has not yet received an official invitation regarding the planned summons by the Gowa Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) Special Committee (Pansus) for the Inquiry Rights. Husniah made this statement, accompanied by her attorney, Amirullah Mappaero, at her official residence in Tinggimae, Somba Opu Village, Gowa Regency, on Saturday (July 4, 2026). "I haven't received an invitation yet. We also don't know for sure whether the special committee will meet on Monday. However, if the DPRD or the special committee invites me, of course we will attend with our attorney. Let's just wait for the official invitation," she said. Husniah even stated that she has not received a written invitation since the first special committee meeting on the third. "Throughout the existence of this special committee, from special committees one, two, and three, there has never been an official invitation to me as the regional head. There has been no written invitation at all," she said. However, Husniah emphasized that she is ready to attend the clarification meeting if an official invitation is received. "We are ready at any time. Of course, it's on the agenda because the regional head also has other mandatory activities. Coordination between the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD), members of the special committee (pansus), and the government must be well-established," he said. Responding to rumors circulating about the sealing of the regent's official residence, Husniah urged the public not to be easily provoked. "It's not as easy as sealing the regent's office or official residence. I urge the public not to be provoked by parties trying to stir up unrest in our own region, Gowa Regency," he said. He assured that the regional government remains open to the ongoing process. "Please wait for the results of this special committee. As regional heads, we are ready to be open to the public. I appreciate the work of our colleagues in the DPR, whose leaders are wiser and prioritize the interests of the community," he said. Husniah stated that coordination with security forces is going well, so the situation in Gowa remains conducive.
