Jump Starting your Aston Martin (without Zorching the Computer Modules)

Can you zorch your Aston Martin computer modules from incorrectly jumping your car with a dead battery? I read comments in the various forums and groups often that talk about this. Do this, don't do that. Some of it seemed like Urban Lore, so during my recent visit to the UK I spent some time with Mike from Bamford Rose and asked him about this and what his suggest approach is to jump starting an Aston with a low or dead battery. Definitely something you should know if you own an Aston. Summary DB7 and Vanquish (Gen1) - Don't jump start! Trickle charge only or replace with fresh battery. Gaydon Era Cars - Turn off accessories first (headlights, HVAC and Infotainment) and then in order of preference 1) Trickle charge, or 2) Jump pack direct to Battery, or 3) Jump pack or jump from another car at the under hood battery post.
