Rayman Redemption OST (recorded in-game) - The Dark Chimera

Kept you waiting, huh? It’s one track most of you really desired, didn’t you? I can really tell that by the number of requests and since how well received this video was while it was unlisted, which is impressive since it could only be found in the playlist and a comment section. But I really understand, it is really hard not to love this theme. It really sounds super good, memorable and pretty unique while giving a little nostalgic vibe thanks to its few 8-bit sounding parts! This is the new theme of the Hybrids (also knows as the Amalgamation), which are now called ‘The Dark Chimera’ (a name which I really prefer). The fight itself still features the original three boss Hybrids (with the Moskito parts finally properly coloured) but also adds three new ones to the bunch. So, if you haven’t played the game already, I suggest you do it before going far into the video and its description since these new opponents are spoiled here. Though, Ryemanni already revealed them in the Candy Château trailer, so it’s not really spoilers, but I think it’s always better to discover all these things by yourself. So, here come the description’s spoilers: The first one is a mix of The Menace, Skops and of Space Mama. The second one (which is by far my favourite) is a fusion of Moskito and Skops. And the last one (which is the one I like the least) is made of parts from Mr Stone and Mr Sax. With all of that, the fight lasts a bit longer (though not too much either since the chimeras share their health bar this time and each one of them go down in four hits). I think they’re all quite good, but I believe Ryemanni could have been a bit more creative with some of them, especially with the first one since it could have been the opportunity to add Viking Mama or Spartan Mama’s abilities to the battle. But I’m definitely highly pleased by how Ryemanni handled this boss and I’m really happy to see most of the epic effects exclusive to the Saturn version of Rayman 1 being used in the battle. Also, fun fact! Did you know this theme is actually meant to be another version of Darktoon’s Mischief? Ryemanni revealed he originally intended to have Darktoon turned into the Dark Chimera, which explains both themes share many similarities. For the next videos … we are really going to go into spoilers territory, so I really suggest you beat the game first before watching what comes next. I hope you’re all having fun.
