I was standing at the stove, frying cheese pancakes, when the doorbell rang. Margarita Pavlovna was standing on the threshold, with huge suitcases and an offended expression on her face. "Is Alexey home?" she asked, barely crossing the threshold. "No, he went to the store," I answered, surprised by her luggage. "Great! Then we'll talk, woman to woman," the mother-in-law straightened up and, sticking out her chin, declared: "I'm moving in with you. And if you don't agree, divorce my son."
