2026 District 87 Table Topics Contest Champion - Natali Tjahjadi

The Table Topics was: Martin Luther King Jr's quote: "In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends." In the first 10 seconds after listening to the topic, I was praying, panicking and thinking at the same time. What was the connection between worst and silence?? Yes... I misheard the 'words' for 'worst'. Thank God I remembered a story about being present for a friend, and that helped me to formulate my Table Topics. This marks my last year competing in Table Topics contest, after competing for several years. I have won 3rd place in 2022 (online) and champion in 2023 (onsite). This year, by the Grace of God, I could finish my contest run at the top... Most importantly, I could achieve what I prayed for before the contest: "To deliver a speech with a message".
