Introduction to Radaellian Sabre

This video aims to provide a brief(ish) introduction to the Radaellian tradition. As such, it is a wide-and-shallow overview of the terminology, guards and concepts I'd expect someone to need more than a deep dive into any particular aspect. The initial impulse for this video came when I wanted a summary of concepts and guards to onboard new fencers with and found to my surprise there really isn't one. As such, this is my imperfect take on the topic. 0:00 Intro 0:51 Caveats and some divergences within the tradition 2:12 Grip 2:47 Cuts - chamberless, direct, and by molinello 4:30 Guards/Invitations 5:15 Targets 5:48 Footwork 6:28 Key Concepts 9:10 Closing thoughts I encourage everyone with more than a cursory interest to engage with the topic more - https://radaellianscholar.blogspot.com/ is a good one-stop shop for the tradition as a whole and many of the relevant manuals are available free online. Footage used is largely my own, but some is taken from schlager7 (by far the best archival fencing collection on YouTube), Twerchau Sabre and Herbert Heissler.
