Hardcore Hawkers Meet 2024

Located outside of Eagle, Idaho; The Hardcore Hawkers Meet is a yearly event when falconers and hawkers from all over the country gather for a week of hunting, friendship, partying, and stories of them, their dogs, and their birds. This film covers 8 species of birds of prey from broad wings (Red Tailed Hawks and Harris's Hawks) long wings ( Peregrine Falcon and Hybrid Falcons) Accipiters (Goshawks) and Micros (Alpomado and Kestrels). Watch as falconers take on different enviorments of the Treasure Valley area. From rural farm lands, to urban busnisses areas, to the sagebrush covered foothills to watch birds take flight and hunt different types of game. Follow the excitment in the pursuit of wither they catch or miss the game. Falconry is solitary practice, but it can also be with a community of like minded people who enjoy adventure and nature. Be advise; Falconry is a regulated hunting sport in North America that requires a state hunting license and falconry license. Falconry also requires permission from land owners to hunt on property. Urban hawking requires some experience to do it properly. All footage has been done with properties owners permission. All game animals have a chance of survival.
