Toyota 22RE acceleration stumbling / cut out bogging & AFM (air flow meter) cleaning + 3RZ-FE motor
On the way back from picking up a 3RZ-FE motor, my 1990 Toyota pickup with 22RE started to cut out / bog on the highway. Made it home okay, but I think I traced the issue down to aluminum oxide corrosion inside the AFM. This video covers areas to watch out for and/or check if you are experiencing random check engine lights and then later hesitation under acceleration.
