SECURITY ALERT: Prince Wahab Adewale Ogunji Urges Awori Traditional Rulers to Strengthen Community Security Prince Wahab Adewale Ogunji, the Olori Odo of Egbeda and Akeweje of Shasha Kingdom, has called on Awori traditional rulers across Lagos and Ogun States to remain vigilant and prioritize the security of their respective domains. Speaking during a press conference, Prince Ogunji expressed concern over the recent security incident in Egbeda, Ikotun, where officers of the Nigeria Police in Lagos arrested suspected criminals and recovered various weapons from their hideout. He urged all Awori monarchs to collaborate closely with the Awori Welfare Association and Awori sons and daughters in the diaspora to strengthen security efforts across Awori communities. Prince Ogunji further advised traditional rulers to empower key traditional chiefs—including the Olori Odo, Akeweje, Balogun, and Akogun—to play active roles in safeguarding their towns and villages, in line with the traditional security structures established by their forefathers during periods of insecurity. He also cautioned traditional rulers to be watchful of the activities of scrap iron buyers operating within their communities, stressing the need for increased vigilance.
