UN CARNEVALE LUNGO 1600 ANNI - Alberto Toso Fei all'Ateneo Veneto per il Carnevale 2022

A 1600-YEAR-LONG CARNIVAL Lively presented by Alberto Toso Fei as part of the cultural program of the 2022 Venice Carnival An overview of the most curious history—both well-known and lesser-known—dedicated to Venice and its legendary 1600 years. Venice is told through its events, which, once the curtain of dazzling beauty is pulled back, reveal a civilization unimaginable in world history, including its carnival, the oldest in the world, which is still celebrated today. The city holds records in many fields, sometimes unexpected, but above all, it was a breeding ground for innovation and experimentation. It was a place of daring. Alberto Toso Fei descends from an ancient family of Murano glassmakers. He is a journalist, writer, and essayist, translated into several languages. His books on the secret and legendary history of Venice, born from the recovery of oral tradition, have become theatrical performances, works of art, installations, treasure hunts, and tourist itineraries. Like a living time machine, its storytelling brings to life recitals, lectures, TEDx talks, initiatives, and online and social media events. A key player in Venice's cultural life, it is a point of reference for its history. Organized by Ateneo Veneto, Venice Carnival 2022, Vela S.p.a.
