Chicago Blues Fest After‑Party: Blues Rising feat. Knott Us Band, Meaza Joy, and A Patch of Blues This was a FREE event presented through the collaboration of the City of Chicago’s Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE),  Chicago Independent Venue League (CIVL) and Rosa’s Lounge, in conjunction with the Chicago Blues Festival. Knott Us Band is a high-energy youth ensemble from the Knotty Luxe Arts Foundation, a nonprofit providing free arts training for ages 12–18. Made up of talented multicultural teens, they perform soulful classics by legends like Aretha Franklin, B.B. King, Santana, and more. Known as “The Young Band with an Old Soul,” they deliver engaging, crowd-pleasing performances across Illinois. Meaza Joy is a rising singer-songwriter, model, and actress with a soulful voice inspired by Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, Koko Taylor, and Etta James. A Pinetop Perkins Foundation Youth alum, she has performed nationwide—from Beale Street to the National Blues Museum—and delivers dynamic shows in formats from duo to full band. Her new single “All At Once,” featuring John Stamos, is out now, and her debut album Free To Be Me has just been released A Patch of Blues is a Chicago-based blues and soul band featuring Fati Jones (vocals), Rebecca Egwuenu (guitar), Sam Jones (bass), and Stacy Norris (drums). Blending soulful authenticity with a funky urban edge, the group is known for electrifying performances across the Midwest and beyond.
