Replacing a Toilet Wax Ring With an Incorrect Flange Height
In this video, we're replacing the wax ring on a toilet with an incorrect flange height. Idealy the flange should be installed on top of the finished floor. Sadly, in almost all cases it's not. The plumbing contractor will install on the subfloor, while the flooring contractor will just tile around it. This creates a situation where there's a half-inch or more between the toilet and the flange. Let's fix that!
