Butetown, 1960s
In the 1960's authorities had decided that the Butetown streets were unfit for habitation and that the area should be demolished. However as these interviews with residents show, there were mixed feelings about the idea of redevelopment. Erbyn y Chwedegau roedd awdurdodau wedi penderfynu nad oedd strydoedd enwog Butetown yn dderbyniol i bobol fyw ynddyn nhw. Y cynllun oedd dymchwel yr ardal cyfan. Ond fel mae'r cyfweliadau yma'n dangos, roedd gan drigolion Butetown deimladau cymysg am yr ailddatblygu arfaethedig. Mae'r hawlfraint i'r archif yn berchen i ITV Cymru/Wales.
