Is Dreadmoor the Next Big Fishing Horror Hit?

DREADMOOR feels like somebody looked at DREDGE and asked "what if this was a full first person fishing adventure game?" and honestly, the concept alone immediately grabbed my attention. In this pre-alpha playtest you're dropped into a flooded, decaying world armed with little more than a tiny fishing boat, slowly uncovering strange mysteries while exploring murky waters filled with things that probably should have stayed hidden. Even in this early state, there's a lot to like here. The atmosphere is excellent, the fishing mechanics are satisfying and the overall art direction really helps sell the eerie world. There are definitely rough edges - particularly with some voice acting and texture pop-in - but for a small vertical slice playtest, this already feels incredibly promising and absolutely one to keep an eye on. Check out DREADMOOR on Steam here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/36... DREADMOOR is a dark first-person fishing adventure game set in a submerged world, rotting from a past catastrophe. Fish in murky waters, upgrade your boat, craft survival gear, and fight monstrous creatures that lurk under the water and on the land.
