It's no coincidence that the most iconic type of BBEG is a Lich. They're one of the few villains in the game that can just come back, so the DM can put them in front of the party whenever they like without fear. But players have been frustrated with liches for decades, finding their returning nature unendingly annoying. Especially if they're basically just a super powerful zombie in terms of personality. In this video I go over how to avoid that common curse, and make a recurring villain memorable not a hurdle, as well as several ways you can create one.
