In the year 2037, evil alien robots have invaded the solar system and mysteriously are closing in on earth! to combat this threat, Earth's top scientist creates an indestructible suit of "space Armor" made from a revolutionary alloy called 'TEKKA'. selected to don this 'TEKKA ARMOR' is young space pilot, Barry Gallagher, who while wearing it, becomes "TEKKAMAN, THE SPACE KNIGHT", the world's greatest superhero! This is the precursor to what would later become Tekkaman Blade and was originally aired in the U.S. as Teknoman. The American release is notable for attempting to stay as true to the original Japanese series as possible, retaining all the original music and sound effects and not cutting out any of the violence in stark contrast to many other U.S. anime releases of the time.
