#celebrities #magazine #news #agenda #oldies #nostalgia #history #breakingnews #kurdish #kurti #music Meryem Khan... For some, she was the diva of Kurdish music, for others, the Kurdish sultan. Whatever she was called, it was an undeniable fact that her voice and presence added color and meaning to our culture and our lives. Not only did she dedicate her life to songs, but she was also the first to record Kurdish music and spread it to the world. She was also a dengbej who died in hardship, far from her homeland. Although she was hospitalized for kidney disease, doctors couldn't find a cure. She underwent numerous surgeries and couldn't open her eyes. But years later, the truth emerged, and her daughter, Elmaz Han, recounts her death as follows: During those years, Meryem Khan was very sad. She was lonely. She didn't want anyone to come near her. Her doctor told her to release her sadness and be happy. But she always wanted to be alone. Even in the hospital, she wanted that. One day, some Jewish doctors had an argument. The doctor slapped Meryem Khan hard. Just as her stitches came apart, she began bleeding profusely. It was then that Meryem Khan died. In this story, I will tell you about a wonderful and noble voice before which even the divas of the Dengbej bowed in respect. This is the story of a warrior woman who has brought her voice to us from World War I to the present day, setting an example for all of Turkey with her artistry and character. Master author Hurşit Baran Mendeş has also written about her life in detail. I recommend reading it if you have the time. (Cover) Known as the İlka Kadın who recorded Kurdish songs and nicknamed Siltana Kurda for her captivating voice, Meryem Khan was born in 1904 in the village of Dergul in Şırnak. However, Hurşit Baran states that she was born and raised in the village of Kerver, in the Güçlükonak district of Şırnak. She was raised in the Dengbej culture, and her family also highly valued it. At the beginning of her life, she witnessed the world falling apart in every aspect. When Meryem was 10, World War I began. During those years, the Ottoman Empire was on the verge of disintegration. There were both social and political migrations within the state. Meryem Khan's family was among these. During this period of rebellions, Armenian and Assyrian massacres, and exiles in the region, the entire family emigrated to Syria. Following this migration, Meryem Khan met the Bedirkhan family, who hold a significant place in Kurdish history for their contributions to the Kurdish language, literature, and politics. During this period, Meryem Khan sang in the Divan (Divan) and years later married Mehmet Bedirhan, a member of the Bedirhan family. While happy to marry Mehmet Bey, she also felt sad because her husband refused to allow Meryem to sing in the Divan. Meryem Khan tried to persuade her, saying, "I cannot live without singing. Art and song are in my blood," but to no avail. Bedirxan forces Meryem Xan to choose, saying, "Either me, whom you say you love, or art." Meryem Xan declares, "I cannot live without art. If I live without art, I will die," and decides to end the relationship. After the end of this sorrowful love affair, Meryem Han expresses her love for Mehmet with the song "mihemedo roni." Furthermore, according to information obtained by Hurşit Baran Mendeş from Meryem Xan's relatives, Meryem Xan did not marry anyone in the Bedirxan family. Meryem Xan's first marriage was to a young man named Halil İnan from the village of Zivîng in Kerboran. But the reason for the separation was the same. Halil İnan also objected to Meryem Xan singing the kilam. According to some sources, she met a pilot in Mosul and married him. The marriage ended when this pilot died in an accident. When Meryem Han turned 25, she crossed the Tigris River to Mosul with the support of someone she loved. After spending a few years in Mosul, he learned that an English group had come to Baghdad and recorded the sounds of the dengbej. He wanted to set off for Baghdad, but it was never easy. Because separation was still considered stigmatized there, he didn't introduce himself to anyone. His goal was to go and record his voice. However, his desire to go to Baghdad was delayed for reasons we don't know. During these years, he worked the house and the fields. However, his public respect didn't diminish one bit. He constantly shed tears and sang songs about Dêrgol, the village where he grew up, all by himself. The misguided idea that his wife had separated from him, and the songs now flowed only with sorrow, became a constant ache within him. Finally, when he arrived in Baghdad, he stayed at the home of a fellow countryman named Elmas. In Baghdad, he met Mihemed Arif Cizrawi, Hasan Cizrawi, Nesrin Şirnexi, and Said Axaye Ciziri. The title of this record is Dayıka Cemal. Meryem Xan, Meryem Xan Dengbej, Meryem Xan Bave Koroxli, Dengbej Meryem Xan, Meryem Xan Heli Delal, Meryem Xan Daye, Meryem Han, ...
