Will I catch a LEGAL DUNGENESS CRAB? ft. KAITLYN BUI | NorCal Fishing

You know I had to get one last crabbing session in before my NorCal trip is over. I had only about 4 hrs of fishing time before my flight back to LA. I had the honor of meeting up with @kaitlyn_bui for this last session to have her teach me the ropes. Oh man.. did I learn a lot. Apparently this beach is way harder to bring in a crab on a crab snare than the beach I snared at the last time. The waves were stronger, the current was heavier and there were many holes where I had to reel the snare pass. The main thing I learned is... "DO NOT BOUNCE THE ROD WHEN REELING IN A CRAB!" If your rod in bouncing, the line gets loose and thats when the snare can become loose and the crab can slip out of the loops. I lost 2 good heavy pulls due to me not able to keep my pole tip still. Many of the guys got good keeper Dungeness Crabs this day. Sadly, I was not able to land a keeper Dungeness Crab, BUT... I caught a crab snaring setup! Everyone was saying it was better than a Dungy... haha Maybe next time I will finally get my keeper Dungeness Crab. This conclude my fishing adventure in NorCal. I am so grateful for this opportunity and for all the new friends that I have made. I will def be back and catch that Legal Dungeness Crab!
