In this session of the Photography Expression Seminar, we won’t be focusing on photography techniques or methods of expression themselves. Instead, the topic is more about “mindset.” That said, this mindset is something deeply connected to photography as a form of self-expression, making it an essential part of the creative process. There is an intriguing figure in ancient Greek mythology called Caerus, the "God of Opportunity." Caerus is said to have only a forelock of hair. This signifies that when an opportunity, or Caerus, approaches, you must seize it by its forelock. Otherwise, with no hair on the back of his head, you’ll miss your chance. While this concept might sound abstract, photographers encounter these “moments of opportunity” frequently in the field. Today, I’d like to talk about opportunities and the mindset required to seize them.
