Bringing a BC455 back to life - Part 3
This is the third of several short videos I plan to make as I restore an ARC-5 command receiver (BC455) The replacement capacitor mounts have arrived so I have assembled them with the capacitors. It looks like the receiver was restored many years ago so none of the original capacitors work correctly reading as resistors not capacitors. The replacement capacitor mounts seem to perform well I have glued the M3 nuts onto the mounting PCB to simplify installation. Of course the 3uF capacitor at the end is a different pitch but I will probably just drill out an existing mount as its a reliable way of replacing the capacitors VY 73 Rex G8UBJ
