Rachmaninoff's last work: a transcription of Tchaikovsky's song, Lullaby

Sergei Rachmaninoff (1873-1943): Lullaby Bruce Robinson, piano Rachmaninoff performed Lullaby on his final concert tours. He recorded the piece in his last recording sessions, in 1942, although RCA released it only in 1973. This is a transcription of the song of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky (1840-1893) to a poem by Apollon Maykov (1821-1897) from his Modern Greek Songs, 1860. The lyrics to the song are shown in the video. The complete lyrics are below. Tchaikovsky dedicated the song to Nadezhda Rimskaya-Korsakova, the wife of Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, who was expecting a child.
