Part 1 FN2 Type R, ALL K20 Gearboxes. Clutch dampener bypass and Tegiwa shift bushes, fitting guide

Part one of two manual transmission upgrades! Part one we fit a HEL clutch clutch dampener delete and Tegiwa shifter bushes at home DIY. Long videos but I wanted to capture as much as I can of the process. What these parts do: clutch damper bypass - gives real world feel of the pedal and removed the softening effect the dampener has on your shifts. This enables your clutch to be engaged and disengaged easier and faster. 19:00 into the video Tegiwa shifter bushes - take some slack out the shifter that has developed with age to reduce unwanted movement. Part two will include fitting detent springs and selector springs! If you haven’t done this yet do it!
